Ameraseal’s CNAF material

CNAF Material at Ameraseal

CNAF Overview

When your application demands more than basic elastomeric performance, compressed fibrous blend (CNAF) gasketing is often the best next step. Ameraseal stocks a range of high-performance fibrous sheets and gasket materials engineered for higher pressure, elevated temperatures, and demanding industrial media — from steam and fuel service to general chemical exposure — all available and ready to cut to your specs.

Our fibrous blend offerings include our own heavy-duty products such as Ameraseal A400 sheet material. We also carry a wide variety of premium brands such as Duralon® Klingersil® , Teadit® , Flexitallic®  as well as Garlock® . For applications where enhanced chemical resistance and longer service life matter, we also stock Gylon® products — giving you options of excellent sealing performance for aggressive media compatibility.

These materials provide excellent conformability, torque retention, and sealing integrity in bolted flange joints. Whether you’re replacing worn gaskets during maintenance or specifying better sealing performance on new installs, our team will help you choose the right fibrous blend and cut it precisely from your drawing, sample, or flange dimensions.

NA-400 Versatile and general purpose CNAF. Excellent in a wide variety of applications. Aramid Fibers and NBR – good for water, oils, gas, and aliphatic hydrocarbons.

High Quality general service CNAF materials made with unique blends of Aramid fibers and elastomeric binders. All four styles offer consistent temperature limits of -100°F to 400°F continuous (700°F spike) and up to 1200 psi pressure. They differ in the type of rubber binder which gives each its own application.
3000 for applications involving oils and fuels.3200 for general purpose water and inert gas services.3300 broader resistance to oils, fuels, and refrigerants.3700 for compatibility with water and mild chemicals(acids and alkalis).

Styles 550098009850, and 9900 represent the high-performance and high-temperature tier of Garlock’s compressed fiber gasketing. These styles utilize inorganic or carbon/graphite fibers to withstand significantly higher thermal and pressure stresses around 550-650°F cont. and 1200-2000 PSI.
5500 for high-temperature general service.9800 for high-pressure steam and water applications.9850 for high-pressure hydrocarbon and oil systems.9900 for extreme thermal conditions and fire safety
