Graphite Gaskets

Graphite gaskets are engineered for high-temperature, high-pressure sealing applications where chemical resistance, thermal stability, and long service life are critical. Manufactured from flexible expanded graphite or compressed graphite materials, these gaskets conform easily to flange surfaces, providing reliable sealing across a wide range of operating conditions.

This category includes graphite types GHE, GHB, and GHR, each designed to meet specific performance requirements:

  • Type GHEType GHE laminate is made with GTB flexible graphite mechanically bonded to both faces of a 316 stainless steel tang metal insert.

  • Type GHRType GHR laminate is made with Type GTB flexible graphite adhesively bonded to both faces of a 0.002” think flat 316 or 316L stainless steel metal insert.

  • Type GHB – Type GTB flexible graphite is inhibited against oxidation and corrosion for use in most industrial fluid sealing applications.

Also available are compressed graphite gaskets, produced from graphite blends that provide excellent sealing performance with enhanced mechanical integrity for demanding industrial environments.

Graphite gaskets are widely used in applications involving steam, hydrocarbons, corrosive chemicals, and extreme temperatures across industries such as refining, chemical processing, power generation, and general industrial service.
